You and Your Auto Technician Have a Lot in Common
For starters, you both want to make sure that your car is fixed right, the first time. You can help with that by providing us with information about your vehicle that will save you time and money. Here are some tips that will help us to properly diagnose and repair your vehicle so that it operates to your complete satisfaction.
- Use your senses. Note any difference in how your car smells, sounds or handles
- If possible, have the service advisor go for a road test with you in the car.
- Pay attention to when a problem occurs. For example, does it happen when the engine is cold or warm; downhill or uphill; at idle speed or when driving, etc.
- Please don't tell us what to fix. Tell us what symptoms you are experience and let us diagnose the problem.
- Don't be embarrased to tell us that you've worked on it yourself or had another service facility, or that the repair needed is long overdue.
- Whenever possible, make an appointment
- Leave us a phone number where we can reach you.
